MAUI, Hawaii — Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes married his longtime girlfriend, Brittany Matthews, in a ceremony Saturday in Hawaii.
Mahomes, 26, and his 26-year-old bride both posted wedding photos on Instagram. The bride and groom are shown under an arch of white flowers at the ceremony in Maui, WDAF-TV reported.
Mahomes and Matthews dated since they attended high school in Whitehouse, Texas, KMBC-TV reported. They became engaged in September 2020.
Mahomes’ younger brother, Jackson Mahomes, served as his best man, People reported. Patrick Mahomes, who won the NFL’s MVP award in 2018 and led the Chiefs to back-to-back Super Bowl appearances after the 2019 and 2020 seasons, had teammates Travis Kelce, Tyrann Mathieu, and Orlando Brown Jr. in attendance, WDAF reported.

Kelce served as one of the groomsmen, according to People. His girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, was one of Matthews’ bridesmaids, the magazine reported.
Since their engagement, Mahomes and Matthews welcomed their first daughter, Sterling Skye Mahomes, KMBC reported. Sterling turned 1 in February.
Matthews is a founder and owner of the KC Current, Kansas City’s professional women’s soccer team, the television station reported.
