SAN ANTONIO — A porcupine on a big adventure got to visit a lioness at the San Antonio Zoo and a video of the interaction shows both animals were very curious about each other.
The San Antonio Zoo shared a video on its Facebook page showing a porcupine, named Elmer, visiting the lion exhibit. In the video, Elmer is seen standing up and looking in the glass as a curious lioness tries to get closer to him and paws at the glass.
This isn’t the first time Elmer has gone out adventuring in the zoo. The zoo shared a video on TikTok on Dec. 12 showing Elmer paying a visit to the hippopotamus exhibit.
Elmer had visited the lions previously, according to KSAT. Elmer went to visit the lions and Frida the jaguar in November, the station reported.
