A representative for the actor confirmed his death to Variety.

A family member told TMZ that Longo was found at his home in Austin, Texas, on Wednesday.

“Cody was our whole world,” Stephanie Clark, Longo’s wife, said in a statement to USA Today. “The kids and I are shattered and beyond devastated. He was the best dad and best father. We will always and forever miss you and love you.”

Clark called the police while she was at work at a dance studio because she was unable to reach Longo, TMZ reported. When Longo failed to answer the door, police kicked the door down and found his body.

Longo, who was also credited on some projects as Cody Anthony, played Nicholas Alamain on “Days of Our Lives” in 2011, according to IMDb.com. Longo also appeared in several episodes of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” and “CSI: NY,” as well as “Nashville” and “Secrets and Lies.”

Longo’s manager, Alex Gittelson, remembered his friend in a statement to People, saying, “My heart breaks for his beautiful family. He had taken some time away from acting to pursue music and spend more time with his family in Nashville, but we had kept in touch regularly and he was excited to get back into acting this year. … Cody was such a loyal, loving and talented person and he will be greatly missed.”

Longo previously was arrested on charges of domestic assault in 2020, and pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge in 2021 after he was accused in an incident involving a 9-year-old girl, Variety reported.

Longo is survived by his wife and three children, People reported.
