BOCA RATON, Fla. — Most of us dream of winning one lottery jackpot. A South Florida woman hit the jackpot twice on the same day earlier this month.
Susan Fitton, 64, of Boca Raton, won a pair of $2 million prizes from a Sept. 14 Mega Millions drawing, according to the Florida Lottery.
Fitton matched all five white balls but missed on the Mega Ball, according to a news release.
The South Florida woman bought the tickets at Prip Mart in Boca Raton, WPTV reported. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the two $2 million winning tickets, lottery officials said.
Fitton claimed her prizes at the state lottery’s district office in West Palm Beach, according to WPLG.
The overall odds of winning a prize in the Mega Millions game are 1 in 24, WPTV reported. The odds for winning $1 million are 1 in 12,607,306.
