Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Tuesday acknowledged former Vice President Joe Biden as president-elect for the first time since the Democrat’s victory over incumbent President Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election.
On Monday, the Electoral College officially voted to elect Biden as the nation’s 46th president following a hard-fought race with Trump. The Associated Press declared the race for Biden on Nov. 6. Trump has yet to concede the race.
