A Florida woman accused of fleeing and eluding deputies reportedly admitted that getting arrested was on her “bucket list,” authorities said.

Janiya Shaimiracle Douglas, 19, of Homestead, was charged with fleeing and eluding authorities and failure to obey an order from a law enforcement officer to stop Thursday morning in the Florida Keys, according to Monroe County Sheriff’s Office online booking records.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Sgt. Robert Dosh reported that Douglas, who was driving a Toyota sedan, was speeding and driving recklessly near North Key Largo at about 7:47 a.m. EDT, WPLG-TV reported, citing an arrest report.

Dosh turned on his lights and siren, but Douglas did not stop and continued southbound until finally stopping at a three-way intersection, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

According to the arrest report, Douglas told the deputy that getting arrested had been on her bucket list since high school.

Mission accomplished. Douglas was arrested and taken to jail, the sheriff’s office said.
