LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. — Two teachers with Arizona’s Lake Havasu Unified School District are looking for work after allegedly making sexually explicit content on school grounds for the subscription platform OnlyFans.
The school district confirmed the dismissals to Today’s News-Herald, noting that Samantha Peer, an eighth-grade science teacher, was terminated Oct. 31. Her husband, fourth-grade teacher Dillon Peer, was fired four days later.
District spokeswoman Andrea Helart told The Associated Press that policy prevents her from commenting publicly on personnel matters.
Meanwhile, KTVK confirmed that Samantha Peer taught at Thunderbolt Middle School prior to her dismissal, noting that students found the sexually explicit content, which appeared to be filmed in her classroom.
According to the News-Herald, officials with Thunderbolt Middle sent an email to parents Monday warning them that students had been sharing explicit material involving a staff member, but they did not identify the staffer or mention where the content was filmed.
“The images depicted did not happen during the school day, and the person depicted no longer works for LHUSD,” the email stated.
OnlyFans is a subscription-driven social media site known for users offering and buying adult content, the AP reported.
Samantha Peer also allegedly posted the explicit material, some of which featured her husband, on other social media sites, including Reddit, the News-Herald reported.
Meanwhile, eighth-grade parent Alea Bilski told the newspaper that Samantha Peer’s explicit account, which uses an alias, was linked to her non-alias social media pages.
“If it was ‘just’ an OnlyFans account, I wouldn’t be as upset because then that would 100% be on the kids’ parents, but this was public and an easy Google search to find everything,” Bilski said.
Neither Samantha nor Dillon Peer have commented publicly on the allegations or their terminations.
