MAYFIELD, Ky. — First National Bank, which has its main office in Mayfield, Kentucky, shared video of a tornado sweeping through the building on Dec. 10.
At least 92 people, 77 in Kentucky alone, were killed across multiple states by more than 40 tornadoes, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.
First National Bank posted the video on its YouTube page with the caption: “On December 10th, 2021, the Quad State Tornado forever changed the lives of many of our neighbors, friends, customers and community members. The following video footage was captured by security cameras at our Mayfield Main Office. Although many lives were spared, we grieve with those who lost loved ones. Buildings and possessions can be replaced and now we will focus on rebuilding Mayfield together.”
The video shows different angles of the bank as the storm hit, with the front doors of the building blown inward by the force of the wind. A Christmas tree standing by one pillar can be seen as it is launched across the room.
