The vehicle was found by landscapers who were working at a home Thursday morning, NBC News reported.

Police believe the car, which was found under 4 to 5 feet of dirt, has been there for about 30 years, well before the home’s current owners moved in, KGO reported.

Police did not say what led them to determine how long the car had been buried, CBS News reported.

Cadaver dogs investigated and “made a slight notification of possible human remains,” police said, but no body was found, NBC News reported.

Police did find unused bags of concrete in the car, KGO reported.

CBS News said Atherton is one of the wealthiest towns in the U.S. The home where the car was found is currently valued at about $15 million.
