POTTSTOWN, Pa. — At least four people were hospitalized after a three-alarm fire broke out at a Pennsylvania apartment building on Thursday night, authorities said.
Firefighters were called to the Ashwood Apartments in Pottstown-North Coventry Township area around 7:45 p.m., WCAU reported.
The fire destroyed the entire roof of the three-story building, which was evacuated, the television station reported. According to Chester County Commissioner Josh Maxwell, more than 100 people lived at the apartment complex, WXTF reported.
Officials with the Red Cross were at the scene to help residents displaced by the blaze, KYW reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to WPVI.
