Smith-Peterson read a letter Presley’s oldest daughter, Riley Keough, had written to her mother, called “A Letter to My Mama.”

Part of it read, “Thank you for showing me that love is the most important things in this life,” adding “I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters,” E! News reported.

Keough and Smith-Peterson got married in 2015 and a representative for Keough confirmed the couple welcomed a daughter but did not say when, E! News reported.

Presley died on Jan. 12 after experiencing a reported cardiac arrest in her home. Her cause of death has been listed as deferred by the county coroner.

She was buried Sunday at Graceland’s Meditation Garden next to her son, Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide in 2020 at 27, and her father, Elvis Presley, who died in 1977 due to heart failure, according to Graceland’s website. Her grandparents — Gladys and Vernon Presley — and great-grandmother — Minnie Mae Presley — are also buried on the property formerly owned by Elvis, which Lisa Marie Presley held at the time of her death, the “Today” show reported.

Graceland will be inherited by Lisa Marie Presley’s daughters, Riley Keough and twins Harper and Finley Lockwood, “Today” reported.

Lisa Marie Presley was 54 and and is survived by three children and her mother, Priscilla Presley, Fox News reported.
