Devontay Davoucci Anderson, 21, was arrested by the FBI in Chicago on Monday, the Chicago Tribune reported. Anderson was arrested on federal charges of unlawfully fleeing to avoid prosecution for the girl’s slaying, FBI Supervisory Special Agent David Habich wrote in the filing, the newspaper reported. Habich also asked a federal judge to dismiss a complaint filed in U.S. District Court on April 29.

The FBI had offered up to a $25,000 reward for information leading to Anderson’s arrest and conviction, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Two other men, Demond Goudy, 21, and Marion Lewis, 18, have also been charged in connection with the child’s death on April 18 in the drive-thru lane of a McDonald’s restaurant, WGN-TV reported. Both have been charged with first-degree murder and are being held in jail without bail, according to the Sun-Times.

Prosecutors said Lewis was the getaway driver in the shooting but did not fire any of the shots. Both men are being held without bail, the newspaper reported.

An arrest warrant charging Anderson with first-degree murder was issued in Cook County Criminal Court on April 26, the Tribune reported, citing court records. A spokesperson for State Attorney Kim Foxx’s office was not immediately available for comment.

Shelley Gryz, a spokesperson for the FBI, confirmed on Tuesday that Anderson was arrested Monday “without incident” but did not provide further information.

A complaint filed earlier in the federal case described the Chicago police response to the shooting at the McDonald’s, WMAQ reported.

According to the filing, officers found a 2003 Infiniti sedan “riddled with bullets in the drive-thru lane of the restaurant.”

Jaslyn Adams and her father, Jontae Adams, were in the Infiniti about 4:20 p.m. CDT when two gunmen got out of a 2017 Audi S8 and fired into the Infiniti, the filing said. The girl, who was in the back seat of the sedan, died, and her father was wounded, WMAQ reported.

Lewis was arrested two days after the slaying, the Tribune reported. He was caught after trying to carjack a family with two children and was wounded by Chicago police, according to the newspaper.

Goudy, who was out of jail on four separate felonies at the time of the shooting, was arrested a week later, the Tribune reported.
