Mississippi man accused of operating liquor store from home

LAUREL, Miss. — A Mississippi man is accused of running a liquor store from his home, authorities said.

Ronald Fair, 53, of Laurel was arrested Wednesday and charged with the sale of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and sale of liquor without a license, according to Jones County online booking records.

Police executed a search warrant at a Laurel residence after narcotics officers conducted a controlled buy of hydrocodone from the home, WDAM reported.

According to the Laurel Police Department, officers discovered 320 bottles of liquor, two handguns and a small amount of hydrocodone, the television station reported.

Fair will make his initial appearance in Laurel Municipal Court on Friday, WDAM reported. He remains in the Jones County Detention Center, according to online records.
