MILWAUKEE — The vice presidential debates may be remembered more for an insect than for the buzz the participants generated.

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, capitalizing on the fly that landed on Mike Pence’s head during Wednesday night’s debate, unveiled a fly bobblehead to commemorate the bug that landed on the vice president’s head.

The Milwaukee-based organization, which opened in February 2019, is peddling the bobblehead for $25 in a presale, according to the Hall’s website. There will be an $8 shipping charge.

The fly bobblehead is expected to be released in January. The bobblehead will feature Pence with the fly on his head as the vice president sits behind plexiglass protection.

Earlier this year, the Bobblehead Hall of Fame released an Anthony Fauci bobblehead. The Hall also advertised bobbleheads featuring Pence and Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Those will be shipped in November.

“Social media has been abuzz with talk of the fly at last night’s debate, and when we received several requests for a bobblehead with Pence and the fly, we knew we had to get to work,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said in a news release. “We think this will be another fun bobblehead to put a smile on people’s faces as they look back at 2020.”

The bobblehead features Pence dressed in his debate-night clothes, including a red tie and white shirt. The product also includes a removable mini fly swatter.
