Oprah Winfrey takes COVID-19 precautions seriously.
So seriously, that she banned her friend Gayle King from her home because King failed to complete Winfrey’s COVID-19 “policy” for guests visiting her home.
Winfrey said on Facebook last week that she required any quest to her Santa Barbara, California, home to be “vaccinated, boosted, tested, and quarantined.”
The ceremony King was not allowed to attend was a celebration honoring her grandson.
“This was release day for our bubble and we knew we had to throw a welcome celebration for Baby Luca, who none of us had met yet!” Winfrey said of the child, who is King’s first grandchild.
“We missed his grandma Gayle King but she’ll join us once she completes the policy! Thank you to Bon Fortune Style and Ana’s Balloon Creations for helping bring the fun to Baby Luca’s first time at my house. Have a happy and safe holiday, everyone,” Winfrey wrote.
Winfrey’s longtime companion, Stedman Graham, said Winfrey is so serious about her guidelines for those visiting during COVID-19 times that he refers to her rules as “The Policy.”
By the following day, King had completed Winfrey’s requirements for a visit and came to her friend’s home.
