Baylor’s win comes 73 years after its last shot at the title and capped a stunning season that saw the Bears trail only No. 1 Gonzaga for much of the season.
The Bulldogs struggled with turnovers all night and against Baylor’s incessant pressure, with the Bears making 45% of their 3-pointers and winning “every individual matchup,” ESPN reported.
The Indiana Hoosiers remain the last undefeated national champion in men’s college basketball, a streak that has lasted since 1976.
