Police: 9-year-old shot during reported road rage incident

RENTON, Wash. — A young boy is in critical condition after a possible road rage shooting near Seattle on Friday.

According to KIRO-TV, the Washington State Patrol responded to a reported road rage incident just before 3 p.m in Renton, according to Lt. Chris Knoll.

Police said that the driver of a dark-blue Mustang reportedly shot into a Dodge Durango at an intersection, striking a 9-year-old once in the mouth and once in the chest.

The child was transported to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The suspect has not yet been found, and they ask that anyone with information on the incident contact Washington State Police.
