PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. — A 4-year-old child from Georgia died Saturday after falling off a balcony at a Florida Panhandle condominium, authorities said.
According to the Panama City Beach Police Department, the child, who was vacationing with family members from Warner Robins, fell off a third-floor balcony at Laketown Wharf at about 4:30 a.m. CDT, WJHG-TV reported.
Officers with the police department said they responded to a call at about 6:30 a.m. CDT, according to WMBB-TV. WJHG reported that the child was found by a person going to a gym.

It is unclear how the child got onto the balcony, and how many people were in the condominium.
“This is a terrible tragedy and our thoughts and prayers are with this family,” police said in a statement.
