BELLEVUE, Wash. — Police in Bellevue, Washington, said a man was caught trying to steal tires because he tried to get away in a car that was still up on jacks.
Investigators said the 23-year-old suspect stole the tires off a black Dodge Challenger, then drove across the street and tried to put the tires on his own red Dodge Challenger, KIRO reported.

Police said when the suspect saw police he tried to flee, but because the car was up on jacks, he couldn’t move. After he was arrested, investigators said they found a loaded stolen gun.

The suspect was taken to jail on seven felony warrants, with additional charges pending, KIRO reported.
