Hixson, Tenn. — A man arrested in Tennessee on charges of child rape and kidnapping is now under investigation for more crimes, because prosecutors say they have reason to believe he may have raped children in 10 other states.
Ryan Meyung was arrested in December on charges of raping a 12-year-old in Hixson, Tennessee, after the child told his father about the abuse, WRCB reported at the time.
The Hamilton County District Attorney’s office, which is handling Meyung’s case, posted on Facebook asking for help from the public finding more potential victims. In the post, investigators said they believe there could be victims in other states, including Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
According to prosecutors, Meyung was running a business called “Live Your Dreams MX” that had him traveling across the country building motocross tracks, while working with children and teaching them motocross. Prosecutors said Meyung lived with local families in some areas where he built tracks and had camps for children, or lived out of a bus.
Prosecutors also said Meyung has past and current connections with youth organizations and ministries across the U.S., WTVC reported.
Anyone with information related to Meyung’s arrest, or who suspects a child may be one of his victims, is encouraged to call the Homeland Security Investigations tipline at 866-347-2423.
