The Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has announced the recall of more than 15 tons, or 30,285 pounds, of ready-to-eat chicken breast fillets that may be undercooked.
The FSIS said the chicken was produced on March 1 and March 21, 2022, by Wayne Farms, LLC.
The chicken has establishment number EST. 20214 on the case. They were shipped to a distributor in Illinois, who then sent the chicken to restaurants.
The chicken came in 9-lb. cases with eight, 6-oz packages of “All Natural Fire Grilled Chicken Breast” with a use-by date of 5/30/22 or 9-lb. cases with 12, 4-oz packages of “All Natural Fire Grilled Chicken Breast” with a use-by date of 6/19/22, according to the FSIS.
The agency said the chicken might be in distributor or restaurant freezers or refrigerators.
The chicken should not be served and should be thrown away or returned to the place from where it was purchased.
