A New Jersey company is recalling nearly 43,000 pounds of ground beef due to possible E. coli contamination, the U.S. Department of Agriculture confirmed.

The USDA’s Food and Safety Inspection Service announced late Saturday that Swedesboro, N.J.-based Lakeside Refrigerated Services is recalling select packages of ground beef produced June 1, including some packages sold at Walmart stores.

According to the recall notice, the products were shipped nationwide and sold under the Thomas Farms and Marketside Butcher brand names. The potentially contaminated products have an establishment number “EST. 46841” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

Marketside Butcher products are sold at Walmart, USA Today reported.

There have been no confirmed reports of “adverse reactions due to consumption of these products,” the recall notice stated.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, E coli can cause dehydration, bloody diarrhea and abdominal cramps three to four days after exposure. In extreme cases, the bacteria has been linked to kidney failure in children under 5 years old and in older adults.
