Recall alert: Valco Baby double strollers recalled due to fall hazard

Valco Baby has recalled its Duo Trend Strollers, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced.

The CPSC said the stroller’s wheels can break off and cause the strollers to fall.

About 1,290 double strollers are affected by the recall.

They were made in a variety of colors including charcoal, gray, night and denim. They have the order, model or batch number on a label attached to the stroller’s frame.

The strollers with the following order numbers have been recalled:

  • 7884
  • 7885
  • 7886

Also, strollers with the following model numbers are recalled:

  • N9938
  • N9939
  • N9872
  • N0001

People who have the strollers are told not to use them and to contact Valco Baby for a free replacement front wheel assembly, along with instructions on how to repair the stroller.

The company said it will contact customers known to have purchased the strollers directly.

The strollers were sold online and at brick-and-mortar stores from February 2020 through October 2020 for about $700.
