NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — A couple of siblings in South Carolina were given a basketball hoop after a police officer noticed them using a milk crate.
The North Charleston Police Department said an officer was on an unrelated call when she noticed children playing basketball with a milk crate attached to a tree as a hoop, WCBD reported.
The officer told her lieutenant who then reached out to a North Charleston Walmart, which donated the hoop to the children.
“We are thankful for our partnerships and helping out community with their assistance,” the agency wrote on social media.
