The holiday hiring season is here as companies get ready for the onslaught of shoppers.
UPS is looking to add 100,000 workers to its workforce for what it expects to be another “record peak holiday season,” Fox Business reported.
It is looking for full- and part-time package handlers, drivers, driver helpers and personal vehicle drivers to help get packages to their destinations on time.
As quickly as UPS can deliver a package, it will be even quicker with some hires, promising to have a job offer in the candidate’s hands within 30 minutes of applying, the company said.
Some of the seasonal jobs could become permanent positions, as UPS said that about a third of seasonal hires over the past three years became permanent jobs after the holiday rush was over.
FedEx, meanwhile, said it had 90,000 open positions, Insider reported.
Target is also looking to hire 100,000 seasonal employees at stores across the company, Fox Business reported.
