RALEIGH, N.C. — Christmas may be different for millions of families this year, perhaps even more subdued than usual because of the coronavirus pandemic and social distancing. But watching a North Carolina toddler’s unbridled, pure delight as she reacts to Christmas lights is certain to bring smiles.
Christina Helvey, of Angier, posted a video to her Instagram account of her 1-year-old daughter, Violet, experiencing brightly colored, twinkling lights during the Fieldstream Farm Christmas Light Festival in Raleigh, WGHP reported. Helvey overlaid the video with Amy Grant’s vocal rendition of “Sleigh Ride.”
“This was just too pure to stay in (Instagram) stories and needed a permanent spot on the feed,” Helvey wrote.
The Fieldstream Farm Christmas Light Festival is a drive-thru Christmas show that displays more than 1 million lights, according to its website.
The video has received more than 1,100 likes on Instagram.
Helvey joked that fame has not gone to her daughter’s head.
“Don’t worry, we’re keeping her humble,” Helvey told “Good Morning America.” “She asked for caviar and crackers for breakfast this morning, but we gave her the usual omelet and banana instead.”
