BADEN, Pa. — A Walmart in Baden, Beaver County, was briefly locked down Wednesday afternoon because of a report of a man with a gun, police said.
Economy Borough’s police chief told Channel 11 News that officers were called to the Walmart when someone at a neighboring fast-food restaurant reported that he saw a man with a gun heading toward the store.
The Walmart was placed on lockdown as multiple police departments responded and searched the store, police said. It was determined that the man in question never entered the store.
The man was found at the fast-food restaurant, police said. Authorities said the man had a knife - not a gun - and will not face any charges.
