WAYNESBURG, Pa. — Authorities in western Pennsylvania are investigating the death of a student whose body was found in a Waynesburg University dormitory room over the weekend.
The Greene County Coroner's Office said the person was pronounced dead shortly before 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Waynesburg University.
The student newspaper, the Yellow Jacket, said on its Twitter account that officials confirmed the student was Bradley Grinnen, a junior, from Ellwood City. The account also said he was a defensive lineman on the school’s football team.
A vigil was held at Robert’s Chapel at 8 p.m.

The Waynesburg University community is saddened by the news of a death on campus of a current student.
Our thoughts and prayers are with this student's family and friends. On behalf of Waynesburg University, we would like to express our deepest sympathies.
We are cooperating fully with the authorities who are investigating the situation. We have been assured that it is not a suspicious death, and there is no perceived threat to the public. Any additional questions about the investigation should be addressed to the authorities.
