Commitment to a team.
Incredible focus.
These traits aren't just for athletes on the field.
People need them to compete at eSports, too.
So what are eSports?
In short, it's professional video gaming, played competitively, for spectators to watch.
It's more than just a way to unwind -- it's gaining popularity, and tournaments are popping up all over the country.
Competitors face off in popular games like Fortnite, Call of Duty and Madden NFL, to name a few.
Also, eSports can mean a big paycheck for the winners.
Some of the competitions can bring in millions of dollars, which is usually split among winning teams.
In addition, eSports are coming to high schools and colleges.
According to The National Association of Collegiate eSports (NACE), more than 80 schools nationwide now have programs, offering about $9 million in scholarships.
