AMBRIGE, Pa. — Police in Ambridge charged a woman with aggravated assault after she allegedly put her lit cigarette on the skin of a six-year-old boy.

According to police, the victim’s grandmother took him to police.
“The boy actually told us the suspect was angry and was taking her anger out on him,” said Chief Jim Mann.
Police didn’t reveal how the woman knew the victim.
“This kid had to go to the hospital,” Mann said. “This injury could become infected and could really impact him down the road.”
Jones, 23, remains behind bars on charges of assault and other crimes. The victim is being treated for his injuries.
