CINCINNATI, OHIO — The world's largest and most elaborate display of Lego Art is now open in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The artist, Nathan Sawaya, explains why his art is so approachable: "If someone goes to museum and they see a marble statue they can appreciate it. But if they go home that night they probably don't have a slab of marble they can chip away at. But people have Lego bricks at home."

"The Art of the Brick" exhibition has more than 100 works of art, all made from Lego. The Sphinx, relics from Easter Island, Dinosaurs-- even the world itself-- are all represented. They are the creation of Nathan Sawaya who quit his career as a corporate lawyer in New York to build Lego full time.
"Yes, I had Lego bricks as a kid. Um, in fact was I was very young-- I wanted to get a dog and my parents said 'you're not going to get a dog' so I built one, a life-sized Lego dog."
The musuem will have a theme day every month, ranging from dinosaurs to Star Wars, before the exhibit wraps up next May. There will also be some extra Lego on hand for aspiring artists of all ages.
