School district investigating alleged racist social media post by employee

An employee with the Southmoreland School District is under investigation following a social media post that was shared on Facebook.

Channel 11 was alerted to the post and reached out to the district for comment.

“The Southmoreland School District Administration considers the alleged language to be racially offensive and improper. This is a district personnel matter and is under investigation and no further comment can be made at this time,” said Vincent Mascia, Superintendent of Schools for the district.
