PITTSBURGH — Pitt senior quarterback Kenny Pickett is the Player of the Year in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Pickett got 52 out of a possible 64 votes for the award. He also won the ACC’s Offensive Player of the Year with 54 votes.
Pickett enters the ACC Championship Game this weekend breaking several Pitt records this season. He is a finalist for four national awards as well as a finalist on the Heisman Trophy Ballot. Fans can vote on the Heisman HERE.
During the 2021 season, Pickett has thrown for more than 4000 yards and 40 touchdowns with only 7 interceptions. He has also added 4 rushing touchdowns.
Pickett is the first Pitt player since James Conner in 2014 to win both ACC awards.
The Pitt Football program has its first 10-win season since 1981. The Panthers go for its 11th win Saturday night against Wake Forest in the ACC Championship Game in Charlotte, North Carolina.
