PITTSBURGH — Former Pine Richland head football coach Eric Kasperowicz has joined the University of Pittsburgh coaching staff as a volunteer assistant, according to the University.
Kasperowicz, who played football at Pitt, will work on film and analytics for Coach Pat Narduzzi and the football program.
Kasperowicz was the head coach at Pine Richland for 8 years and led the Rams to a state title in 2020 before the school fired him in April. School officials cited allegations of hazing within the program, which Kasperowicz, his coaches and many players denied.
The firing led to student protests at the school. Kasperowicz’s lawyer filed a defamation suit against Pine Richland in May.
