Cutch is a dad.
Pirates center fielder Andrew McCutchen announced the birth of his first child Wednesday night, and seemingly honored the city where he became a sports hero in the process.
McCutchen and his wife, Maria, named their 8-pound, 15-ounce son Steel Stefan McCutchen, born on Monday.
"I am so thankful for a healthy baby and wife," the former National League MVP wrote in an Instagram post. "Watching my wife go thru this journey has made me appreciate, respect and love her even more than I already do."
