PITTSBURGH — Officials with the Pittsburgh Pirates announced the first tickets are on sale for 12 home games, including the home opener on April 8.

PNC Park will be limited to 20% capacity to start the season and tickets will be made available on a month-to-month basis.

Team officials said the first batch of tickets went on sale today online. It’s a special presale for full, half and partial season ticket holders, partial flex plan ticket holders and other credited ticket holders. The second phase of ticket presales will include suite holders, corporate partners, social media followers, online registered users and others.

All remaining tickets will go on sale Wednesday, March 17 at 10 a.m. online or over the phone.

Tickets must be bought in groups of two and four. All seating arrangements in the ballpark are being made to include the recommended six feet of distance between groups of tickets.

Tickets will be digitally delivered to all fans through the MLB app in an effort to limit touch points. Fans are asked to have their tickets ready on their mobile device when approaching the stadium gates.

The 12 games for which tickets are being made available span the first two groups of home games for the season. The Home Opener is Thursday, April 8 against the Chicago Cubs with first pitch scheduled for 1:35 p.m. The first month also includes matchups against the San Diego Padres, Kansas City Royals and St. Louis Cardinals.
