Pirates announce 2021 promotional schedule

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Pirates have announced the 2021 promotional schedule for all remaining home games.

Ticket go on sale on Wednesday, including 37 promotional dates with 13 dates of gate giveaways for the first 20,000 fans.

The fun starts in June with several special dates including the first of five Zambelli Fireworks Nights on Friday, June 18.

Bring dad to a ball game on Sunday, June 20, as the Pirates celebrate Father’s Day at PNC Park with a kids and dads Pirates batting practice cap giveaway, presented by Kennywood.

Summer officially begins on the North Shore with (Re)Opening Weekend as the Pirates welcome the Milwaukee Brewers and open to a full capacity PNC Park on Thursday, July 1. The entire weekend will be full of fun and entertainment as the Pirates plan to celebrate with giveaways, entertainment, a Jim Beam Block Party and more.

On Sunday, July 4, the Pirates will celebrate the season’s first Kids Day at PNC Park with fun on Federal Street for all families, a Pirates sunglasses giveaway at the gates for all kids 14 years and under, and more. Each Sunday home game for the remainder of the season is Kids Day with seven total dates specially reserved for family fun in and around the ballpark. Sunday dates also include some great giveaways for kids such as:

• Kids Pirates replica Bryan Reynolds jersey, presented by PNC, on Sunday, July 18
• Topps baseball cards on Sunday, August 1
• Kids water bottle, presented by Highmark and AHN, on Sunday, August 15
• Kids lunch bag on Sunday, August 29
• Kids socks on Sunday, September 12

Several “takeover” dates highlight the schedule such as Class of 2021 Night on Thursday, July 1; Star Wars Night on Friday, August 13; and a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the 1971 World Champion Pirates on Saturday, July 17.

The return of the popular fan value promotion, Dollar Dog Nights, presented by Sugardale, is planned for every Thursday night game for the remainder of the season. During these games, fans can purchase hot dogs throughout the ballpark for only one dollar each.
