According to a report in USA Today, Sanders is hoping to bring awareness to the issue of police brutality through the move. Rose Jr. was shot and killed by a police officer two years ago after he ran from a traffic stop conducted in connection with a drive-by shooting investigation. The officer who pulled the trigger was found not guilty in the shooting death.
