Cowher won 161 games (counting the postseason) as Steelers coach, including Super Bowl XL. A Crafton native, he led the Steelers from 1992-2006.

Cowher is one of two other Steelers legends who were named as finalists for this year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame class. Fellow coach Buddy Parker, Super Bowl-winning safety Donnie Shell and Pitt and Freedom High School alumnus Jimbo Covert were previously announced as local legends who were among 38 finalists.

The Class of 2020 will consist of 20 members. An additional five members will be added to the Class of 2020 on “Selection Saturday,” the day before Super Bowl LIV, when the Modern-Era Player Finalists are voted on by the Pro Football Hall of Fame Selection Committee.
