PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin could have a job waiting for him at the University of Southern California “if he wants out,” according to former USC quarterback Carson Palmer.
While on The Dan Patrick Show, Palmer was asked if he’s been included in conversations about USC’s next head football coach.
“I’ve been talking to a bunch of folks and giving input here and there,” Palmer responded. “I’ve been as involved as they’ll let me be.”

Palmer then dropped Tomlin’s name after mentioning there are a lot of frontrunners.
“You’ve got a wild card like Mike Tomlin. If Mike Tomlin wants out,” Palmer said.
But during his weekly availability, Tomlin told Channel 11′s Jenna Harner he’s not interested.

"I don't have time for that speculation. That's a joke to me. I have one of the best jobs in professional sports. Why do I have any interest in coaching college football?Never say never but never. There's not a booster with a big enough blank check"
