Another Pittsburgh Steeler placed on COVID-19 list, as well as a coach

PITTSBURGH — More coronavirus cases are impacting the Pittsburgh Steelers, as this time a key played has tested positive.

James Conner was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Saturday.

You can watch the game on Channel 11 Tuesday night, starting with pregame coverage at 7 p.m.

He tested positive for COVID-19, but reports indicate he appears to be asymptomatic and it’s possible he might continue to test for a potential false positive.

The Pittsburgh Steelers also announced that special teams coach Danny Smith and quarterbacks coach Matt Canada will not coach on Tuesday.

This comes after the Steelers placed three players on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Friday. DE Stephon Tuitt, OL Jerald Hawkins and DT Isaiah Buggs were the players placed on the list.

It’s still unclear if Tuitt, Hawkins or Buggs tested positive, or came in close contact with someone who tested positive.

On Sunday, the Steelers practiced, and coach Mike Tomlin said the team had no new positive tests.

On the other side of the fence, the Baltimore Ravens placed six more players on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Saturday.

On Sunday, Ravens wide receiver Willie Snead, tight end Mark Andrews and Matt Judon reportedly tested positive for COVID-19, making it the 8th consecutive day of at least one positive test for the team.
