PITTSBURGH — It's been about almost exactly one month since the Steelers finalized a trade that sent Antonio Brown to the Oakland Raiders, but Brown is still waging Twitter wars, taking criticism from Steelers fans, and going after a former teammate.
On Sunday, Brown tweeted, "keep your emotions off the internet." Those words invited other tweets from fans, including one that included a picture showing JuJu Smith-Schuster as the team MVP.
Brown then tweeted about Smith-Schuster, referencing his fumble in the critical game against the Saints, “Emotion: boy fumbled the whole post season in the biggest game of the year!”
Within an hour, Smith-Schuster responded with a tweet of his own, “All I ever did was show that man love and respect from the moment I got to the league. I was genuinely happy for him too when he got traded to Oakland w/ a big contract, and now he takes shots at me on social media?”
Smith-Schuster continued with some words about Brown’s ego, “Crazy how big that ego got to be to take shots at people who show you love! Smh,” and finished with a tweet quoting Mark Twain, “Never argue with a fool. Onlookers may not be able to tell the difference.”
