LAS VEGAS — The wife of Pittsburgh Steelers backup quarterback Dwayne Haskins was arrested following a domestic dispute that happened at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas earlier this month.

According to the police report, officers were called around 2:30 a.m. to the hotel on July 3 for a domestic call. Haskins was taken to a hospital “due to a facial injury he sustained.” Documents indicated he told police his wife punched him in the face. He told a hotel security officer, “I want her out of my room, she hit me and cut my lip open.” He also lost a tooth in the encounter.

His wife, Kalabrya Gondrezick-Haskins, was arrested and taken to the hospital for evaluation prior to being booked into jail.

She told investigators they were married in March and came to Las Vegas to celebrate with their friends and renew their vows. At some point there was an argument that escalated and she allegedly hit Dwayne Haskins in the mouth.

She was charged with battery domestic violence resulting in substantial bodily harm.

There was no indication in the police report that Haskins had hit his wife or became violent.

Dwayne Haskins was signed by the Steelers after he was released by the Washington Football Team earlier this year. Haskins was a first round draft pick by Washington before the team released him. He is competing with Josh Dobbs for a spot on the team’s 53-man roster.

A spokesperson for the Pittsburgh Steelers told Channel 11 they are aware of the situation and said the team has no comment.
