Heading into Game 2 Saturday night, Penguins Head Coach Mike Sullivan said his team needs to “stay hungry” and not rest on their laurels after taking a 1-0 series lead over the Capitals.
That was the sentiment in the locker room as well. Patric Hornqvist told Channel 11’s Chase Williams that he expects the desperation levels to be even higher, for both teams, in Game 2.
The Penguins have a huge opportunity tonight to grab a stranglehold on the series if they take a two-game lead going back to Pittsburgh.

It is unclear whether Carl Hagelin will play. A day after he peaked everyone's interest when he took to the ice for practice, he was absent from Saturday morning's skate.
Sullivan said Hagelin remains a game-time decision.
