Penguins’ Sidney Crosby voted “Most Complete Player” in 2021-22 NHLPA Player Poll

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby was voted the National Hockey League’s “most complete player” in a NHL Players Association poll conducted this season.

According to the Penguins, the poll consisted of nearly 500 NHL players across all 32 teams in the league.

For the second year in a row, Crosby was named as the most complete player in the league with 29.5% of the votes. The Penguins said he received 154 votes out of the 522 players who answered the question.

Crosby also won the off-ice category for “best role model” in the league. He ran away with the lead at 42.7% of the ballots. Second place went to Boston Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron with 9.8%.

The Penguins center also took home second place in the category “if you need to win a game, who is the one player (any position) you want on your team?” with 17.3%. Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid won that category with 42.4% of the votes.
