PITTSBURGH — A local high school football player who is in the hospital after getting hurt during a game got a surprise visitor this week.
Evgeni Malkin of the Pittsburgh Penguins stopped at the Children's Home and Lemieux Family Center in Pittsburgh to visit Hayden Hamilton, according to NHL.com.

Hamilton has been in the hospital since Aug. 31, when he suffered a severe spine injury during the season opener for Laurel Junior Senior High School in New Castle.
According to NHL.com, the Penguins center gave the 15-year-old sophomore a signed jersey and stick.
