BEIJING, China — Curling is that one sport that many of us watch every four years and forget how much we enjoyed it.
John Shuster led his team to a win at the U.S. Trials in November.
He heads to Beijing to defend the goal medal his team won in Pyeongchang – the first curling goal ever for Team U.S.A.
Shuster talked to the CBC right after finding out he was headed to his fifth Olympic games.
“Gotta pinch myself every morning and realize this is real life,” he said. “But it’s all those people who give me the opportunity to keep curling and keep going after these dreams.”
Shuster’s team is nearly the exact same one that won gold.
There’s one newcomer who replaces a teammate who retired.
