Pittsburgh native John-Henry Krueger made the Winter Olympics podium for Team USA Saturday, winning silver in the men’s 1,000-meter short-track speedskating final.
With his second-place finish, Krueger earned United States’ first individual speedskating medal since 2010. The Peters Township native finished behind Samuel Girard of Canada, who took the gold medal.

Krueger moved onto the semi-final, despite not finishing in the top two, after officials ruled an opponent pushed him.
