PITTSBURGH — Areas of fog early Thursday could reduce visibility in spots, so allow some extra time on the roads -- especially around bus stops.

Showers and storms will develop mid-morning through the afternoon, and the tropical feel in the air could help fuel heavy downpours. A few storms could be strong to severe with damaging wind gusts, so check the Severe Weather Team 11 forecast before you head out.

A few isolated showers could pop up early Friday morning, especially south and east of Pittsburgh. Then make some plans outdoors.

A refreshing change blows in Friday night with cooler, less humid weather settling in for the weekend. In fact, overnight low temperatures Friday night into Saturday morning will drop into the low-50s, maybe the upper-40s in some spots.
