Winds will pick up again through the day, and some of the late model data is showing gusts as high as 40 mph through the afternoon.

Similar wind gusts Thursday brought down trees in the area and there could be damage again Friday. The rain-soaked ground combined with trees full of leaves could set the stage for problems.

Clearing skies late Friday night will make it even colder, with lows dropping into the 30s by early Saturday morning.

You’ll need the sweatshirt to keep off the morning chill Saturday, but by the afternoon you’ll be back in shorts as highs jump back into the mid-60s.
